The APEX heavy duty line of bulk bins are built to the customer’s specifications when a variety of material handling applications require a special unit. Our engineering department can help you design a bin suited for your needs. Prices are quoted based on size, plate thickness, reinforcements and options such as: stacking, fork pockets, drains, casters, crane-lifting eyes, paint and more. Stackable Metal Storage Bins
Apex builds its bulk bins as stackable metal bins so you can store bulk material vertically instead of spreading it across floor space you don't have. These are not light-duty containers: every standard bin is fabricated from 3/16" steel with a 2" x 2" x 3/16" angle around the top edge, and stacking is quoted as an option alongside plate thickness, reinforcements and the rest of your specification. If you're looking for metal stackable bins or stackable storage bins metal built to your own dimensions rather than an off-the-shelf size, this is the line.
Sizes & Stacking Capacity
Standard stackable bin sizes are ¾ yard, 1 yard, 1½ yard and 2 yard. Because every bin is built to the customer's specification, plate thickness and reinforcements are quoted against your actual load and stacking requirement rather than fixed at one rating — Apex's engineering department will size the bin for how high you intend to stack it and what you're putting inside.

Stackable metal bins handle all types of bulk material: scrap steel, glass, stampings, sawdust, rubber, coal, ash, various aggregates, construction debris, solid waste, grit and screenings. Operations that run them typically need the same material staged in one place between process steps — which is where stacking earns its floor space back. If your material needs to be dumped repeatedly rather than stored, compare against Apex's self-dumping hoppers instead.

What sizes do Apex bulk bins come in?

Yes. 2-1/2" x 7" fork pockets are standard on every bin, enclosed fork pockets are available for roll-over (rotator) operation, and 3-way entry bases are available. Crane-lifting eyes are quoted as an option alongside drains, casters and paint.
What is a bulk bin made from?
